Process and timing for creating your song (It's easier than it looks)
I want to create something beautiful and wonderful for you with no surprises at any time. Here's how you and I will make that happen:
1. Upon your choice of which song you want to customize and payment of 50% of the project fee (see OPTIONS & PRICES), we'll schedule a phone call at your convenience. (I'm in California and can start as early as 6AM Pacific time or as late as you wish) During our call, I'll answer any questions and you'll provide me with the input for customizing your selection. If you prefer, you can e-mail this information to me instead. It's important that I receive all of your input in this phone call or e-mail so there are no surprises later.
2. Within five days after receiving this information (all of these days are calendar days and not business days), I'll e-mail to you the new lyrics which will reflect your input. (Please refer to SONGS to see where customizations can or cannot be made in the available song choices.)
3. These new lyrics can be revised if needed. If so, you will provide me with the details by phone or e-mail within five days of your receipt of the new lyrics as noted in #2 above. (If no revisions are needed, please skip to Step #5 below.)
4. I will e-mail the revised lyrics to you within three days of receipt of the requested changes. If a few minor (and final) word changes are requested, that can be quickly accommodated by phone or e-mail. When the lyrics have been finalized, I will e-mail them to you and you will e-mail them back to me with "APPROVED" noted at the top of your reply.
5. Within five days of your approval, I will record the new vocal track using the approved and final lyrics. The sound and mix level of the new vocal (and of your customized song overall) will match as closely as possible the original version which you can listen to in this site. Payment of the remaining 50% of the project fee is due during this period.
6. Upon completion of the customized recording and payment of the remaining 50% of the project fee, I will ship the appropriate materials to you (per what you have selected in OPTIONS & PRICES).
ESTIMATED TIME REQUIRED FOR YOU TO RECEIVE YOUR CUSTOMIZED SONG (Starting with receipt of the first payment of 50% and getting your input by phone or e-mail... and ending with completion of the recording and timely receipt of the second payment of 50%): 12 calendar days if there are no revisions and up to 20 calendar days if there are revisions. (Both include two days for shipping.)
If you're concerned that you don't have enough time to do this between now and the wedding, please contact me anyway. We might be able to complete your project more quickly.
